In the 1960s through the early 1970s Albert Gudas made a skating rink in his backyard in Syracuse, NY, for his daughters, Lorraine and Celeste.

Here is a picture of the rink (above).

 

Celeste's daughter Ellie continues the skating tradition; see the video below from  a 2011 skating competition! Wow!

Lorraine started skating again in 2006, and started ice dancing lessons in 2009.  Here she skates a polka with her ice dancing coach, James Schilling, at Chelsea Piers....
